2025 Spring Weekend Hockey
The spring season runs from April 5 through June 15. Register online at Potomac Patriots.
Ice times are Friday evening through Sunday evening, with the possibility of a Thursday evening ice slot in May.
Mites (2017-2020) — $549
The mites program focuses on skills development. The goal is to keep players active with lots of opportunities to experiment and grow. Mites do get plenty of opportunities to scrimmage and play the game of hockey, but the focus is on personal skills and development. Mites play 4 on 4 cross-ice hockey. All players interested in participating with the Potomac Patriots at the Recreation -B Level, must submit a Spring Evaluation Tryout Fee of $39. Tryouts will be performed April 5th. Selected players will receive an invite to register for their assigned age specific team. All other players will be provided key development information details and direction.
To encourage goaltender development, we are looking for 6 players at the 10U and 12U ages to volunteer to practice bi weekly at the position. Practice equipment will be provided and maintained by the Potomac Patriots with the exception of groined protection which are available in the Pro Shop for purchase.
To optimize our coach to player ratio, the Potomac Patriots offer 100% reimbursement for all certifications, orientation, development training and quarterly in person or Zoom meetings. Candidates are required to successfully pass USAH background checks and SafeSport curriculum. Ice hockey equipment (hockey skates, an approved helmet, gloves and stick) is also available in the Pro Shop.
