It encourages decision-making skills and quick thinking on your feet, the value of hard work, plus how to handle both wins and losses. Coaches teach a mindset of teamwork that relies on trust, responsibility, fair play and, most of all, joy.
Learning skating fundamentals before starting hockey is key. Coaches will progress kids individually through the levels of Learn to Skate and Learn to Play based on skills demonstrated. Each participant will advance through the various levels at their own pace. All kids should begin in Learn to Skate and will be placed accordingly.
