2024 Spring Weekend Hockey - **Registration NOW OPEN**

The spring season runs from April 13 through June 16. Register online at Potomac Patriots.
Ice times are Friday evening through Sunday evening, with the possibility of a Thursday evening ice slot in May. 

Mites (2016-2019) — $549

The mites program focuses on skills development. The goal is to keep players active with lots of opportunities to experiment and grow. Mites do get plenty of opportunities to scrimmage and play the game of hockey, but the focus is on personal skills and development. Mites play 4 on 4 cross-ice hockey. *ONLY REC 2006 birth year players are eligible to play spring weekend hockey.

These divisions will compete in the Intra-County Hockey League (ICL). Teams will play against teams from the Piedmont Predators. Games will be played at Haymarket or PWIC.

Unless modified or changed, ICL will operate under the regular season rules of the CCHL were applicable and will be enforced.

The ICL regular season shall consist of 6 games for each team. The ICL will conclude with a championship playoff inclusive of all teams. 

The ICL is a competitive-contact league at all age levels. Body checking is NOT permitted. Any head contact foul shall be assessed as a 5 minute major penalty and a game misconduct penalty.

Any player who accrues three (3) penalties of any type in a single game shall be assessed a game misconduct penalty and be suspended from participation in their teams next ICL league game. A double minor penalty counts as two penalties.

Any team that accrues a total of 10 penalties in a single game shall have its head coach suspended for the team’s next scheduled ICL game.

Any player or coach who is assessed two game misconduct penalties during the regular season shall be suspended for the remainder of the season - including the playoffs.

Any player or coach who is assessed a game misconduct during the playoffs shall be suspended for the remaining games of the playoff.
