The Potomac Patriots are proud and excited to announce the commitment of second year defenseman Brian Kerrigan to King’s College (NCAA- Division III) for the 2020-2021 season!  King’s is located in Wilkes-Barre, PA and competes in the United Collegiate Hockey Conference (UCHC).  Brian began his tenure with the Patriots four seasons ago as a member of the USPHL U16 Futures team that would go on to win the League Championship.

In his first year of Junior hockey, Brian appeared in 41 games with the Elite team while also playing in three games at the Premier level.  Last season he was able to compile five goals and six assists for 11 points on the season.  The 2018-2019 season has been spent solely at the Premier level, matching his total of 11 points from last season with 11 assists.  Perhaps the most impressive statistic is that Brian has only missed one game over the course of his entire Junior hockey career.

“Brian has been a true cornerstone of our defensive core these last two season,” says Premier Head Coach Zachary Vit.  “He is a student of the game and has been relentless in his pursuit to bring his game to the highest level he can.”

Premier Assistant and Strength Coach Jonathan Sucese has coached Brian since the day he arrived at the Prince William Ice Center, home of the Potomac Patriots.  “I’ve worked with Brian for over four years and his patience and coachability have been outstanding.  He is a true product of the process, never in a hurry but always striving to be the very best,” Coach Sucese praised.  “His commitment to the off-ice portion of his game is probably one of the most superior I have ever worked with.”

The entire Patriot organization, staff, and community would like to congratulate Brian on his commitment and would like to thank him for all he’s done for the program!
